THIS IS YOUR BRAIN ON PIZZA & IT'S AS CHEESY AS THIS PUN

Positive memories
Just like most Americans that live in the
21st century I have positive memories of pizza. In my case most birthday
party's had the main course of pizza. If you achieved something special with
your class you were rewarded by a pizza party, I never played softball but if I
had played I would have undoubtedly had a pizza dinner after a victorious 9th
inning catch that sent my team to the playoffs or something ridiculous like
that. I am no psychologist but what I do know is that pizza made me happy as a
kid and it makes me happy now.
The way people bond
This is similar to our positive memories entry. People seem to really
connect over pizza, it is something that almost everyone in this fine country
has had, and it is something that everyone can share. What makes you happier
than dividing a delicious pie with all the people you love most in the world? Then
playing games or laughing or swapping stories.
WHY YOU SHOULD LOVE PIZZA
The food pyramid & pizza
This post is going to be stuffed
with pictures. Please forgive that accidental pizza pun, but I won't delete it
because I like it. Anyway. What follows is the classic food pyramid. Now, when I
was a 5th grader the image I now show you was presented to me for the first
time. Since I am a human being and not an alien I was already quite an
enthusiastic fan of pizza. So the first thing I saw was a slice of supreme
pizza. I mean look at them. As the picture on the left so clearly illustrates,
every food group is represented. Again I am no expert of anything, excepting
maybe pizza. Even then the only thing that qualifies me to talk about pizza is
my enthusiasm of the thing. I think this argument is sound.
Pizza can make you popular
Although I have never condoned pandering to the masses, we have already
discussed pizza's unifying qualities. So, you must recognize that pizza will
attract humans like sugar water attracts flies. That analogy isn't the most
appealing, but you get the idea. If you find yourself needing friends, or just
some company, buy a pizza. The type of people that come running may need
additional vetting before being included into your circle of friends. At least
they will be good conversation. Don’t forget
that you all have one thing in common. Pizza!
What I am going to talk about on the blog
Some posts will be history of pizza;
some posts will be about the great American pizza meccas, like New York or Chicago.
Some will be reviews of pizza from my hometown of Salt Lake City. So strap in and
enjoy the wonders of pizza.
